The 2024 carving season was an exciting part of my chainsaw carving journey. I cannot express enough gratitude for the support I received online, here in Spokane, and from people across the country. That encouragement continues to fuel my passion for carving.
I spent more than 20 years in education as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. That chapter of my life was incredibly fulfilling, and I still value the relationships I built with students and staff.
Carving gave me another way to create, teach, connect, and experience the kind of joy and fulfillment that marked the best moments of my career in education. Every project is a chance to keep learning and to help someone else see what can emerge from an ordinary log.
